SECONDARY GRADES

• Competition for Div 1 & 2 Boys starts on Wednesday 29th April and ends on Wednesday 19th August
• Competition for Div 1 & 2 Girls starts on Thursday 30th April and ends on Thursday 20th August

Competition for Div 3 & 4 Boys and Girls starts on Monday 4th May and ends on Monday 24th August

Pre-Season Briefing– Discussions regarding PlayHQ – for hockey administrators and team coaches/managers - Thursday 26th March, 5:30pm at the Park Island hockey pavilion

There will be no set agenda - instead, the Competitions Manager will be there to answer any questions relating to the PlayHQ system.

As well as a refresher for school administrators, team coaches/managers are encouraged to attend so they know how to use the Game Day portal.

Schools are asked to register their teams according to level and experience to the best of their knowledge. Depending on the size of the division entries, divisions may require a grading round to determine best fit for each team.

HBHA reserve the right to regrade teams during the season after consultation with schools.

All teams will be expected to provide own umpires for Divisions 2-4. Hawke's Bay Hockey have assumed responsibilty of allocating Division 1 umpires.

No play days:

Monday 1st June - King's Birthday (Divisions 3 & 4 Boys and Girls)

6th - 19th July - School Holidays

• PlayHQ has Game Day scoring which is available to listed coaches/managers - Preferred method
• Alternatively record results on the game cards which are available at both Park Island and Hastings and once the game has finished place your completed cards into either the slot at the front door at Park Island or the box located in the dug out at Hastings. Please ensure you write the grade your teams are competing in.

Cancellations will be emailed to schools and posted on our Facebook page by 2pm weekdays or by 7am on Saturdays during Winter - Hockey is only cancelled in the unlikely event of extreme rain or wind chill factors.
